Behavioral Health Respite through OhioRISE

Lifeworks is now serving as a provider of Behavioral Health Respite care for OhioRISE Aetna members at Center-based locations. Respite services provide temporary relief for primary caregivers of youth enrolled in OhioRISE. Each session includes approximately 3 1/2 hours of respite under the supervision of highly trained staff. Activities are designed with a focus on fun and structure and are assisted through Autism-informed support, tools, and resources to maximize the engagement of youth.

Each member is eligible for up to 50 days of service without needing prior authorization. If additional days are needed, a request for prior approval can be submitted to Aetna, the OhioRISE plan administrator. Respite must be an approved service on the member’s Child and Family-Centered Care Plan (CFCP).
